  • CO2 Emission (Scope1+Scope2)/Sales (¥ million)
  • The total values for Scope 3 categories 1, 3, and 4 were disclosed for the FY 2022, and the total values for Scope 3 categories 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11 were be disclosed for the FY 2023.
  • Emissions for Scope 3 Category1 (purchased goods and services) are calculated by multiplying the purchased weights of Sanwa Shutter Corporation's main raw materials-steel, aluminum, and stainless steel--by the emission factors from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) IDEA ver. 2.3 database.
  • Emissions for Scope 3 Category2 (capital goods) are calculated by multiplying the emission factors specified by the Ministry of the Environment with the capital expenditure.
  • Emissions for Scope 3 Category3 (fuel and energy related activities not included in Scopes 1 or 2) are calculated by multiplying the emission factors specified by the Ministry of the Environment with the aggregated energy consumption in Scopes 1 and 2.
  • Emissions for Scope 3 Category4 (upstream transportation and distribution) are calculated by multiplying the emission factors specified by the Ministry of the Environment with the fuel consumption of trucks related to the transportation of goods (factories to sales offices) which Sanwa Shutter was identified as the consigner.
  • Emissions for Scope 3 Category5 (waste generated in operations) are calculated by multiplying the emission factors specified by the Ministry of the Environment with the waste disposal cost.
  • Emissions for Scope 3 Category6 (business travel) are calculated by multiplying the emission factors specified by the Ministry of the Environment with the number of employees.
  • Emissions for Scope 3 Category7 (employee commuting) are calculated by multiplying the emission factors specified by the Ministry of the Environment with by work location and working day.
  • Emissions for Scope 3 Category10 (processing of sold products) are calculated by multiplying the emission factors specified by the Ministry of the Environment with the product installation outsourcing cost.
  • Emissions for Scope 3 Category11 (Use of sold products) are calculated by multiplying the emission factors specified by the Ministry of the Environment with the lifetime electricity consumption of products that use the electricity sold in the target year.
