Sustainability Strategy
Basic Approach
We believe that being actively involved in global social issues, including climate change, human rights, and racial inequalities and promoting initiatives to resolve them is both a mission and a responsibility of companies that are supported by limited resources and multiple supply chains as they go about their business activities. The Sanwa Group has been supporting safety, security, and comfort in people's daily lives through shutters, doors, partitions, and other products and services since before the words sustainability and SDGs came into widespread use. Originally, shutters were designed to prevent crime, but over time, the requirements have come to include fire and smoke prevention as well as antiseismic intensity. Newer requirements include waterproofing for torrential rains and wind resistance for increasingly intense typhoons. Additionally, our automatic doors and partitions can contribute as a measure to prevent the spread of infectious disease in an increasingly wide range of applications. We believe it is important to respond quickly to social issues and needs in the chaotic and rapidly changing environment of today.
Based on these principles, we have established the Sustainability Committee by the President and Representative Director of Sanwa Holdings, to promote sustainability-related initiatives more agilely and swiftly.
Promotion Framework
We hold the Sustainability Committee once a quarter to deliberate and promote group-wide policies and measures related to sustainability issues.
The Sustainability Committee is chaired by the President and Representative Director of Sanwa Holdings, and consists of independent outside directors, executive officers, the President and Representative Director of Sanwa Shutter Corporation, and executive officer.
Additionally, to deliberate on various risks related to group management, the Sustainability Committee reviews and reports on matters regarding the basic policy of risk management, plans related to risk management, and the progress of measures.
Recognizing that initiatives related to sustainability are management issues that affect corporate value, we regularly report to the Board of Directors and, while coordinating with various domestic(Japan) and overseas conference bodies, strive to build a group-wide sustainability management system.

Stakeholder Dialogue and Collaboration
Through appropriate information disclosure and active communication with diverse stakeholders, we aim to deepen their understanding of Sanwa group, grasp their requests and expectations, and reflect them in our management to enhance corporate value.
