Social Media Policy
Sanwa Holdings Corporation and its Group companies in Japan (the "Sanwa Group") comply with this Policy when running its official social media accounts and when Sanwa Group executives and employees use social media.
1. Basic Policy on Social Media
Sanwa Group will adhere to laws, regulations, Sanwa Group's Mission and Code of Conduct when using social media, and will conduct themselves as good members of society and strive to engage in appropriate communication with all stakeholders.
Sanwa Group will also listen to the opinions of our stakeholders and strive to develop products and services that meet their needs.
2. Definition of Social Media
In the context of this Policy, the term "social media" refers to interactive media that facilitate the dissemination of information via social networking services (SNS), the posting of information on the Internet that can be accessed by a large number of unspecified users, and the creation of interactions with those users.
3. Understanding the Nature of Social Media

Sanwa Group executives and employees recognize that information transmitted on the Internet can be accessed by a large number of unspecified users, that once information is transmitted it cannot be completely deleted, and that an individual's comments can have a considerable impact on society. With this in mind, Sanwa Group will endeavor to disseminate accurate information and to avoid making misleading statements.
Furthermore, Sanwa Group executives and employees will strive to be sincere in our dealings by adhering to social norms as a responsible member of society such as avoiding statements that could be construed as critical or defamatory of our competitors, business partners, affiliates within Sanwa Group, and other business-related third parties, and refraining from any speech or behavior that contravenes public order. - Compliance and Confidentiality
In relation to social media, Sanwa Group executives and employees will comply with all relevant laws and regulations, and will carefully handle information in compliance with Sanwa Group's Mission, Code of Conduct, and other internal rules on confidentiality to prevent unauthorized disclosure, use, or leakage of confidential information belonging to Sanwa Group, business partners, cooperating companies, and other stakeholders.
Sanwa Group will not publish any information that constitutes or may constitute an invasion of privacy, and Sanwa Group will not publish any personal information without that person's permission. - Respect for Intellectual Property and Personality Rights
Sanwa Group respects the rights of third parties including copyright and other intellectual property rights and personality rights, and always seek the approval of the individual in question before publishing any personally identifiable photos, videos, or other content.
4. To Users of Social Media
Information transmitted by Sanwa Group executives and employees on social media does not necessarily reflect the content of our official announcements or the official position of Sanwa Group. Official announcements and statements on Sanwa Group's official position will be published on Sanwa Group website or in news releases.
Users who wish to access Sanwa Group's official social media accounts (herein "these accounts") are required to agree to the following conditions prior to use.
- These accounts may be terminated or deleted without notice.
- The information posted on these accounts is current at the time of sending and may be subject to change, suspension, or discontinuation without notice.
- Sanwa Group accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any replies, quotations, retransmissions, comments, or other content posted on these accounts by users. Furthermore, Sanwa Group accepts no responsibility for any trouble or disputes that may arise between users or between users and third parties in connection with these accounts.
- Sanwa Group does not reply to all comments posted to these accounts by users.
- In order to realize better communication on these accounts, users are requested to refrain from the following behaviors when using these accounts.
- Identifying, disclosing, or divulging the personal information of other users or third parties without their consent, or infringing on the personality rights of other users or third parties.
- Engaging in any behavior that may cause damage to Sanwa Group companies, other users, or other third parties such as the unauthorized disclosure of confidential information.
- Falsifying any information provided through these accounts.
- Engaging in any profit-seeking behavior either through or in connection with these accounts without Sanwa Group's approval.
- Engaging in any behavior that infringes on the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of Sanwa Group, other users, or other third parties.
- Engaging in any behavior that may slander or defame Sanwa Group, other users, or other third parties.
- Engaging in any behavior or transmitting any information that contravenes public order or social norms.
- Engaging in electioneering, religious activities, or other unsolicited behavior.
- Attempting to interfere with the operation of these accounts or posting text or content unrelated to the purpose of these accounts.
- Engaging in any other behaviors that Sanwa Group deems inappropriate.
- If Sanwa Group determines that a user's conduct may or does constitute any of the behaviors listed above in i. through x., Sanwa Group reserves the right to delete information posted on these accounts without notifying the user, and to take any other action that Sanwa Group deems appropriate.
